A Minimal Equipment-EX Plan
Trace Equipment-EX's prerequisites, review their release evidence and separate a complete dependency plan from a tested wardrobe.
Updated on
Equipment-EX's latest GitHub release reviewed here is 1.2.7, whose documentation names game 2.2. A complete list of its prerequisites does not prove that this release works on game 2.5. This is a documentation-based installation plan reviewed on 26 October 2026, not a game-tested modpack.
Start with the documented dependency chain
Equipment-EX's tagged README names ArchiveXL 1.18.0+, TweakXL 1.10.4+, Codeware 1.13.0+ and redscript 0.5.25+. The frameworks also have their own requirements. The table follows those chains and links to the reviewed evidence.
| Mod | Reviewed mod release | Author-documented game patch | Sources checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| RED4ext | 1.31.0 | 2.5+ | 2026-10-26 ↗ |
| ArchiveXL | 1.28.0 | 2.5 | 2026-10-26 ↗ |
| TweakXL | 1.12.0 | 2.5 | 2026-10-26 ↗ |
| Codeware | 1.21.1 | 2.5 | 2026-10-26 ↗ |
| redscript | 0.5.32 | 2.5 | 2026-10-26 ↗ |
| Equipment-EX | 1.2.7 | 2.2 | 2026-10-26 ↗ |

Open this dependency planWhy this table is not a certified combination
The reviewed Equipment-EX release names game 2.2, while several newer framework releases name 2.5; RED4ext 1.31.0 requires at least 2.5. Do not assemble a 2.2 installation from every newest download in the table. For a 2.5 setup, obtain evidence that the chosen Equipment-EX release supports that patch before proceeding. The table records the gap instead of resolving it by assumption.
Keep the wardrobe route small
Equipment-EX manages outfits and can use vanilla items. Shopping frameworks and third-party clothing packs serve separate purposes. Leave Virtual Atelier and custom stores out of this first wardrobe check unless your chosen content explicitly needs them. See the clothing shopping guide when you want to add those pieces.
Validation to perform on your own setup
After choosing releases that support the same game patch:
- Record the exact game patch, Equipment-EX release and prerequisite releases. Keep a clean save and installed-file list.
- Install the required frameworks before Equipment-EX, preserving the folders in each author's archive.
- Launch with vanilla clothing first. Open the Wardrobe interface, apply an item and save a small test outfit.
- Close and reopen the interface, then reapply that outfit. Record the observed result rather than marking the whole setup compatible because the menu appeared.
- Add one custom item only after the vanilla outfit check succeeds.
These are acceptance steps for you to run; CyberpunkMods has not executed them in-game. If the menu never appears, follow the recovery guide and inspect framework logs before adding another mod.
Save evidence with your plan
Open the dependency plan from the table, review all source records, then choose Save report (.md). The saved report includes dependency chains, missing items, version evidence, source URLs and a data revision. It records site evidence at export, not a scan of your installed files.
