Core Mods: Patch 2.5 Evidence
A dated review of core mod releases, their documented game patches and the gaps that still need checking.
Updated on
Several core authors explicitly document game patch 2.5 support. That establishes their stated scope; it does not certify a complete mod collection. This review records author sources checked on 26 October 2026. No game launch, performance benchmark or combined installation test was performed.
Releases and documented patches
Each version below links to its release. The review date links to the exact README commit checked for that release. The table reads the same records used on mod detail pages and in the dependency checker.

Open this dependency planWhat changed for 2.5
RED4ext 1.31.0 raises its minimum game version to 2.5. Its release notes also describe support for combining the in-game mod menu with redscript mods. Do not treat that minimum as support for older patches.
The redscript 0.5.32 release adds support for script bundles from patch 2.5. ArchiveXL 1.28.0 and TweakXL 1.12.0 also announce updated 2.5 compatibility in their release notes.
Requirements and compatible integrations differ
The reviewed ArchiveXL and TweakXL READMEs require RED4ext 1.31.0+ for installation and list redscript 0.5.32+ under compatibility. Codeware lists RED4ext as its installation requirement, while listing compatible redscript and CET versions separately. A compatibility list is not an instruction to install every integration.
Open the individual evidence records for the exact distinction and check the requirements of the content mod you intend to use. The checker keeps the directory's tracked prerequisites visible; it does not inspect your installed versions.
The CET evidence gap
CET 1.38.1's reviewed README requires RED4ext, but does not name a game patch. Its release notes describe a RED4ext.SDK and RTTIHelper update. Neither statement alone supports a blanket claim that every CET mod works on 2.5. Read the CET dependency review before building that route.
Before updating a working setup
Record your game patch and every installed release, keep a clean save and an archive file list, then compare your versions with each project's release notes. Test one change at a time. A framework update does not establish support for the clothing, scripts or native plugins that depend on it.
Save the checker's Markdown report to retain the reviewed versions and sources. A shared link recalculates the selection against current records and warns when its recorded data revision differs.
