What changes
- Current armor reduction display
- Corrected tooltip wording in supported languages
Using it in your game
Open the armor tooltip in the Cyberware or ripperdoc interface and compare the wording with your current protection.
This is an information correction. It does not add armor or raise damage resistance; PC players should follow the separate PC edition linked by the author.
Before you choose
An information fix; it does not grant armor or increase damage resistance. This entry covers console releases; the author links a separate PC edition.
Requirements
No additional mod prerequisite is named in the checked author description. Recheck the current release before installing.
Use the in-game Mods menu for these platform releases. A listing on mod.io is not a guarantee that a modded save is compatible with every update.
Install in game
- Keep a manual save made before using mods. Open Mods in the game’s main menu and connect your CD PROJEKT RED account to mod.io.
- Find this exact title and author. Confirm a release for your platform. Install its listed prerequisites first, then select Install for this mod.
- Wait for the download, return to the main menu and confirm that the mod is enabled. Follow any restart prompt.
- Open the Cyberware or ripperdoc menu and inspect the armor tooltip.
How to check the result
The tooltip should describe current protection. Do not expect an increase in the armor stat.
Try this check before adding another mod, so a failure points to the change you just made.
Update or roll back
Keep your pre-mod save. Read the author’s update or removal notes before changing an ongoing playthrough. If a dependent mod uses DQC, retain DQC until its dependants are removed. Disabling a mod does not guarantee that an existing save returns to an unmodded state.
Questions about Better Armor Tooltip
Does it make V harder to kill?
It corrects the displayed information rather than increasing armor.
Is there a PC version?
The author points PC players to Nexus Mods. Use that edition’s instructions rather than a console file.
