What changes
- Visible-world timeskip widget
- Hotkey to start or stop skipping
Using it in your game
Use the installed release’s hotkey to open the visible-world timeskip widget, start skipping and stop it again before continuing your session.
If the hotkey does not register, check Input Loader’s merge log. Follow the installed release’s controller configuration because older instructions can describe different bindings.
Before you choose
Mod Settings supports in-game hotkey configuration but is not in the base requirement list. Confirm current controller bindings; older instructions and changelogs differ.
Requirements
- Input Loader
Merges participating mods’ custom input XML so their key bindings can be loaded by the game.
- RED4ext
Loads native plugins used by frameworks such as ArchiveXL and Codeware. REDmod is a separate tool.
- redscript
Compiles script mods at game startup. A compile error needs a script-level diagnosis, not another framework installed at random.
Open this mod and its tracked prerequisites together. External runtimes still need your confirmation.
Open the dependency plan →Install and check
- Back up your saves and note the game patch shown in the main menu. Keep the downloaded archive’s installed-file list.
- Install the listed Input Loader, RED4ext and redscript requirements for your patch.
- Extract the author’s Immersive Timeskip archive into the game root.
- In the world, try the configured timeskip hotkey; the description lists keyboard O. Check current controller settings separately.
How to check the result
Start the widget while the world stays visible, then stop it with the hotkey. Check Input Loader’s log if the input never registers.
Try this check before adding another mod, so a failure points to the change you just made.
Update or roll back
The author lists r6/input/ImmersiveTimeskip.xml and r6/scripts/ImmersiveTimeskip for removal. Keep Input Loader and script frameworks used by other mods.
Questions about Immersive Timeskip
The hotkey does nothing. What should I inspect?
Check Input Loader’s merge log and the installed XML, then the binding for your current release. Optional Mod Settings integration can expose hotkey configuration.
Does it rewrite quest schedules?
Its advertised function is the timeskip widget. It is distinct from similarly named mods that edit quest time-skip behavior.
